Bitlow Records

BITLOW RECORDS. TECH-HOUSE MUSIC LABEL.

Label

Bitlow Records is a logical continuation of the German label Uran97, based in Brandenburg. From 2002 onwards, Uran97 released around 40 works, including 3 on vinyl.  The musicians involved included: Akustikrausch, Pacou, M.M.B, K.Fog, and Vadim Lankov.
The label’s basic format was non-commercial techno. At that time, the owner and manager of the project was Christian Barkowsky.
In 2009, on the grounds of Uran97, Bitlow came into being. It was focused upon techno and tech-house. Co-owners of this enterprise became the duet Mostklik.
At present, Bitlow Records is a multinational label, since it is overseen in both Brandenburg and Moscow. Bitlow is dedicated to the publication of high-quality electronic music, especially techno and tech-house. The primary goal is to promote young and talented artists on the world stage.

Bitlow Records has been able to create a musical concept that combines various elements of contemporary electronica. I think it’s a very up-to-date sound that cannot be fixed within the limits of any one style. The music is sufficiently multifaceted, given that it reflects the very best genres and traditions of modern techno culture.
The label is driven by a desire to both create fashions and, simultaneously, be true to its roots.

For us, Bitlow is an opportunity to realize our boldest creative steps; it’s also gives us the chance to gather kindred spirits, in order that everybody work and experiment on joint projects.

We’ve no desire to drive the label into a stylistic dead-end, especially since we’re surrounded by so much varied, interesting, and appealing music. If the original versions of our tracks can amaze people and get them thinking, then the remixes should do something different. One of them might tear up the dancefloor, whereas another might be better suited to the mood of somebody beneath a beach umbrella, lounging on the seashore. That kind of release satisfies my demands – and brings the maximum amount of pleasure.
